Description
Computer Systems Technology is the foundation of our understanding and application of modern technology. It encompasses the theory behind computing, the hands-on experience needed to bring that theory to life, and the industry insights that drive innovation. Through its focus on areas such as software development, database systems, networking and security, and IT operations, data science, and cybersecurity, our degree programs equip students with the skills to design, manage, and implement technology solutions that meet the needs of businesses and industries. Our degrees open doors to dynamic careers, where graduates adapt to emerging technologies and shape the future of IT.
In addition, the department provides various computer courses tailored for students in other majors such as accounting, telecommunications, and legal assistant studies, as well as general courses to enhance computer literacy.
The department continually updates its curriculum and lab equipment to stay aligned with the rapid advancements in computer technology. With IT professions among the fastest-growing fields, the department's flexible, future-oriented education ensures students are prepared to succeed in an evolving industry.
