Accessibility
The City University of New York CUNY is committed to providing reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments that allow qualified individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in programs and activities of the university.
The Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) is the disabilities service provider at City Tech. The center provides support to enrolled students who have documented permanent or temporary disabilities. The center's primary mission is to support the educational goals for enrolled students with disabilities through access, empowerment, resources, advocacy, collaboration and outreach throughout the College, the University and the community at large. The Center provides assistance in the areas of enrollment, tutoring, assistive technologies and testing accommodations.
Students seeking formal disability accommodations should register with the CSA by completing the Confidential Accommodations Request Form, which allows uploading of any medical or disability-related records for the office to review.
The online form is part of a bigger system called CUNY Accommodate, which students can use for many tasks, including scheduling meetings with disability services staff. Also, students who are already registered with the disability services office can use CUNY Accommodate to send accommodation letters to faculty and facilitate individual requests.
Students are always welcome to reach out to the CSA directly should they have any questions or concerns via email, in person, or phone. See the CSA website for contact information.
