Introduction to microcontroller architecture, programming, and applications using common open-source integrated development environment (IDE) and programming interface. Assembly and high-level programming of 8- and 32-bit AVR and ARM microcontrollers to process signals from sensors and control mechatronic system devices. In addition, students learn about microcontroller applications in quad copters, 3D printing, and programable logic controllers.
