An introduction to the theory and techniques of ceramo-metal dental restorations including crowns and porcelain jackets. Students perform the techniques required to produce a suitable fixed dental prosthesis. Laboratory techniques introduced include metal substructure, design and fabrication, porcelain build-up, firing, contouring, finishing and polishing to accuracy.
